The Gujarat government informed the state assembly on Monday that the six-laning of the Ahmedabad-Rajkot Highway will be completed by December this year. Responding to a question from Rajkot MLA Darshita Shah, Minister Jagdish Vishwakarma stated that out of the 197-km stretch under the first phase, six-laning work has been completed on 193 km. The remaining work of the ?3,350 crore project is expected to be finished by the end of the year. Additionally, the government announced that ?550 crore has been sanctioned for the Ahmedabad-Dholera Expressway, which will connect the upcoming international airport at Dholera with Ahmedabad city. In response to a query from Dhandhuka MLA Kalubhai Dabhi, the government confirmed that work on the expressway is progressing as planned. |
