Va Tech WABAG (WABAG), a leading water technology company, has won two major industrial water treatment contracts worth a combined ?360 crore from GAIL (India) Ltd and Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL). WABAG secured a ?340 crore Design, Build, Operate (DBO) contract from GAIL for its integrated petrochemical complex in Pata, Uttar Pradesh. The project involves setting up a 450 cum/hr Ultrafiltration (UF) and Reverse Osmosis (RO)-based Effluent Recycle Plant, an Evaporator-based Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) Plant, a new Wastewater Treatment Plant, and an upgrade to an existing facility. The Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) phase will be completed in 24 months, followed by six months of Operations & Maintenance (O&M). Projects and Development India Limited (PDIL) will oversee the project as the Engineer-in-Charge. The treated water will be repurposed as Cooling Tower Make-Up water to support sustainability goals. Additionally, WABAG secured a ?20 crore repeat O&M contract from IOCL for the Tertiary Treatment Reverse Osmosis (TTRO) Plant at its Panipat Refinery in Haryana. Originally built by WABAG in 2006, the plant was the first-of-its-kind in India’s oil and gas sector for industrial water recycling. The new contract extends WABAG’s O&M responsibilities for another three years. “These repeat orders highlight our strong customer relationships, technical expertise, and commitment to excellence, further strengthening WABAG’s leadership in the oil and gas sector,” said S. Natrajan, Head-Sales & Marketing, India Cluster, VA Tech WABAG. |
