Work Detail |
The provincial government announced the call for tenders for the paving of the first section of Provincial Route 26, which connects the Caviahue waterfront with the access to Copahue. The work seeks to improve connectivity and boost tourism in the region, facilitating access to one of the main thermal and scenic destinations in the province. The section to be worked on comprises a strategic sector that currently presents difficulties for traffic, especially in adverse weather conditions. With the paving, it is expected to optimize road safety, reduce travel times and ensure better transitability throughout the year. The project includes paving the road, building additional works for proper storm drainage and the corresponding signage. In addition, measures are planned to minimize the environmental impact and preserve the natural surroundings of the scenic route. The Ministry of Infrastructure stressed that this tender is part of a comprehensive plan to improve provincial routes, with the aim of strengthening road infrastructure and supporting the tourist and productive development of the area. Companies interested in participating in the tender will be able to access the specifications and conditions in the coming days through official channels. It is estimated that, once awarded, the work will have a completion period in line with the needs of the region and the complexity of the terrain. The paving of this section of Provincial Route 26 represents a significant advance for the connectivity of Caviahue-Copahue, benefiting both residents and tourists who visit the area in search of its landscapes and hot springs.
