The Government of the Province of Buenos Aires announced that it will take over the completion of important road works that had been suspended by the national administration. These works, essential for connectivity and road safety, seek to improve infrastructure and local development. Among the interventions resumed is the second stage of the improvement of Avenida Eva Perón, in the section between Camino de Borde and Avenida Juan Manuel de Rosas. The tasks include repaving, patching, construction of new sidewalks, installation of LED lights and signage to optimize circulation and safety. This project is in addition to the ongoing work on Presidente Perón and Juan Manuel de Rosas avenues, within the framework of the Municipal Comprehensive Remodeling Plan, aimed at improving the citys main arteries. Another of the outstanding projects is the transformation of Route 11 into a highway, a key project for the connectivity of the Atlantic Coast. The project includes the construction of a second road and the repaving of the existing road along 72.4 kilometers. It is developed in two sections: from the roundabout at the entrance to Villa Gesell to Canal 5 (39.4 km) and from there to Mar Chiquita (33 km). The work includes the construction of paved shoulders on both roads, level turns every 3.5 km, the duplication of seven bridges over waterways and the installation of 54 culverts. In addition, the accesses to Villa Gesell, Mar Azul and Mar de las Pampas will be remodeled, and a new roundabout will be added at the entrance to Mar Chiquita. These improvements will reduce travel times and increase safety in one of the busiest tourist corridors in the country. The provincial government reaffirmed its commitment to the continuity of infrastructure works, highlighting that the completion of these projects is essential for economic growth and the well-being of the people of Buenos Aires. |
