Work Detail SPML Infra Limited has signed a contract agreement with the Water Resource Department of Hazaribagh for a ?617.98-crore irrigation project in Jharkhand, the company announced today. The project, part of the Konar Irrigation Project, will be executed on a turnkey basis in partnership with Vijay Kumar Mishra Construction. The initiative aims to enhance irrigation infrastructure across 12,599.43 hectares of agricultural land spanning three blocks in Jharkhand: Bisnugarh (Hazaribagh), Nawadih (Bokaro), and Dumri (Giridih). The scope of work includes the reconstruction and strengthening of the main canal, right branch canal, and associated distributaries. Additionally, the project will involve the construction of an approach channel, canal lining, a solar-powered pump house, and a pressure pipe water conveyance system. The pipeline network will incorporate MS, DI, and HDPE pipes with diameters of up to 1,200mm, utilizing an advanced pipe distribution system. Post-construction, the contract includes a 10-year operation and maintenance phase to ensure efficiency and sustainability.
