Work Detail At the solar energy and energy storage fair held at ExpoGuadalajara (where pv magazine will be present at stand K52), the Chinese manufacturer is launching its 670 W Hi-MO family of products for the distributed generation market. At the RE+ Mexico solar and energy storage fair, which runs until tomorrow at ExpoGuadalajara, Chinese manufacturer Longi is presenting its Hi-MO X10 modules, with a capacity of 670 W, intended for both the residential and commercial and industrial sectors, and one of their main characteristics is that they are dust-proof. One of the particularities of this module - with an efficiency of 24.8% - is that it is offered in both vertical and horizontal formats. There are also two versions, one of them designed for airports, as it considerably reduces the reflective effect, one of the conditions that is prioritized in solar installations in these areas. Its measurements are 2,382 x 1,134 x 30 mm, with a weight of 28.5 kg. Anti-hot spot One of the notable elements, according to the manufacturer, is that it is anti-hot spot, which allows overheating to be avoided and power is gained, according to what Andrés Alcantar, C&I Sales Manager in the distributed generation division for Mexico and the Caribbean at Longi, told pv magazine . In the product description, Alcantar assures that “the new connections of the module allow the current to be diverted in the shaded cell from a bypass type solution, which prevents overheating and the current continues to flow.” It is a module designed for companies such as cement or mining companies, for example, or locations with a large presence of particles in the air. For her part, the general manager of the Longi division for the region, Alba Min Ye, estimated that a volume of modules reaching 20 MW has already arrived in Mexico to be delivered to distribution companies. We have 50 MW more on order, she said. Regarding the evolution of Longis presence in Mexico in the DG sector, Min Ye said that while last year 300 MW were placed on the market, this year there are expectations of delivering close to 450 MW.
