Work Detail The Bristol Temple Quarter Limited Liability Partnership (BTQ LLP) comprises Bristol City Council, Homes England, the West of England Mayoral Combined Authority, and Network Rail who are overseeing the regeneration project has opened the bidding process to find a 20-year private sector development partner for a GBP 4 billion (US$ 5 billion) Temple Quarter transformation scheme in Bristol, UK. BTQ covers approximately 135 hectares in the heart of Bristol and covers two principal geographic areas: Temple Meads West: Land predominately to the west of Temple Meads station, including several sites over which BTQ LLP has secured control. BTQ benefits from a GBP 95 million (US$ 121 million) grant from Homes England which is being used to help deliver enabling infrastructure, including enhancements to Bristol Temple Meads station and land assembly. St Philips Marsh: an area extending to 90 hectares to the east of Bristol Temple Meads station, offering an opportunity for transformational growth. The appointed private sector partner will have the opportunity to work with BTQ LLP to progress comprehensive regeneration at scale across land that is within its control and, in parallel, support it to advance proposals for the regeneration of St Philips Marsh over the medium- to long-term. Subject to performance outputs being achieved and gateway approvals, BTQ LLP intends that the development partner would then take forward delivery of St Philips Marsh. Initially, the appointed development partner will work to deliver housing, commercial space and new and improved public spaces around Bristol Temple Meads station, following a GBP 95 million (US$ 121 million) grant from Homes England. BTQ LLP also aims to work with the appointed partner to develop detailed proposals for new homes and jobs at St Philip’s Marsh, as well as find solutions for tackling challenges like flood risk and the current absence of public transport in the area. The procurement process is expected to run until the end of 2025 when the successful organisation will be appointed. The contract is 20 years, with an option to extend for an additional 10 years. Time limit for receipt of tenders or requests to participate is April 23, 2025. For additional details about this tender, please visit our Business Opportunity page here.
