Call for tenders for the renovation and refurbishment of the Kayú Chenen Special School in Ushuaia The Ministry of Public Works and Services of Tierra del Fuego has authorized the call for Public Tender No. 03/2025 for the execution of the repair and refurbishment works of the Special School No. 1 “Kayú Chenen” in the city of Ushuaia. The work has an official budget of $237,630,498.01 and a term of execution of 180 calendar days. The project aims to improve pedestrian and vehicular access conditions, as well as make improvements to the interior of the building located on C. Darwin Marcelino Jerez Street. These interventions seek to optimize the institutions infrastructure to provide better conditions for the educational community. The tender will be governed by the fixed-price contracting system and includes a financial advance of 30% of the total amount of the contract. Companies interested in participating may request the specifications free of charge through the official email or pick them up at the South Zone Tendering Office, located at Av. Maipú No. 115, Ushuaia. The awarding process will follow the guidelines of Public Works Law No. 13,064 and current provincial regulations. The bid guarantee established is $2,376,304.98, and the bidders must comply with the technical and administrative requirements stipulated in the Terms and Conditions. For the control and supervision of the work, architect Alejandra Suasnabar has been appointed as the main inspector and MMO César Arnaldo Maidana Gutiérrez as the substitute inspector. This project represents a fundamental step in improving educational infrastructure in the province, ensuring adequate spaces for the development of school activities and the inclusion of students with special needs.
