The National Highway Authority reported that public hearings were held within the framework of Decree 28/2025, in which the concession project for the Eastern and Connection Sections of the National Road Network was presented. This initiative is part of the “Federal Concession Network – Stage 1”, which seeks to guarantee the operation, administration, expansion and maintenance of the most heavily trafficked road corridors, while ensuring the provision of services through a toll concession system. The hearings were widely attended, with 127 attendees for the Connection Section and 120 for the Eastern Section, in addition to the intervention of more than 30 citizens through a virtual link. National, provincial and local authorities were also present. During the sessions, technical details of the project were presented, and later, space was provided for participants to express their opinions and contributions. The National Highway Department stressed that this process allows for the integration of considerations from different social actors, with the aim of enriching the proposal and optimizing the implementation of the project. The Eastern Section includes national routes 12, 14, 135, A015 and 117, which cross the provinces of Buenos Aires, Entre Ríos and Corrientes. The Connection Section, on the other hand, is made up of the Rosario-Victoria Bridge (RN 174), which links Entre Ríos and Santa Fe. According to reports, the final reports of the hearings will be published within a maximum period of 30 days in the Official Gazette and on the National Highway Administration website. These documents will include the resolutions arising from the debate and the proposals collected during the sessions. Subsequently, a space called Data Room will be opened, where potential bidders will be able to make inquiries and raise concerns about the process. From this stage, the tender specifications will be defined, which will be developed in a transparent and competitive manner. This will be the first road concession to be carried out through the Contrat.Ar platform, managed by the National Procurement Office.
