The Government of Tierra del Fuego has authorized the call for Public Tender No. 02/2025 for the execution of the expansion work of the Provincial Technical College Antonio Martín Marte, located in the Andorra Valley, Ushuaia. The work, which has an official budget of $420,944,554.10, has a term of execution of 180 calendar days. The project includes the construction of a dining room and kitchen on the ground floor, as well as the addition of two new classrooms on the upper floor, which will allow the growing demand for vacancies in the area to be met. The property where the work will be carried out is identified in the cadastre as section O – massif 3B, plot 1 of the city. This extension responds to a request from the Provincial Directorate of Primary Education, within the framework of the sustained growth of urbanization in the Andorra Valley and the need to guarantee adequate spaces for students in the region. The Secretariat of Integrative Habitat Projects, through the Undersecretariat of Urban Planning, prepared the technical documentation necessary for the tender. The bidding process will be publicised through the official website of the province and the Provincial Official Gazette, with a minimum publication of six editions and fifteen days prior to the opening of envelopes. Likewise, the information will be available on the “COMPRAS” portal of the province for consultation and download. The Directorate General for Works Management in the Southern Zone was responsible for preparing the terms and conditions, which have already been approved. In addition, the Accounting Department of the Ministry of Public Works and Services has guaranteed the necessary budget reserve for the execution of the project. Finally, the MMO Luis Gustavo Rodríguez was appointed as the titular inspector of works and the architect Alejandra Suasnaear as the substitute inspector. With this initiative, the Provincial Government seeks to strengthen the educational infrastructure and respond to the needs of the constantly growing school community.
