Austria-based AT&S AG, a leading manufacturer of IC substrates and printed circuit boards, has announced the launch of its Information Technology Shared Service Centre (IT SSC) in Pune, Maharashtra. The centre will support AT&S’s global operations across Austria, China, Malaysia, and India. The Pune IT SSC will provide expertise in IT security, SAP, and program development, with plans to hire over 100 technical experts by 2025-26. It will play a crucial role in AT&S’s Target Operating Model, leveraging India’s IT talent to enhance digital services across its six manufacturing plants and nine sales offices worldwide. Speaking on the launch, Peter Griehsnig, Chief Technology Officer of AT&S AG, said, “The IT Shared Service Centre in Pune marks a key milestone in our global digital transformation journey. India’s rich talent pool and innovative spirit make it the ideal location to drive efficiency, agility, and technological excellence across our operations.” With this move, AT&S joins a growing list of global corporations establishing IT hubs in India, reinforcing the country’s position as a leading destination for technology innovation and digital services. |
