The tendering process for sewage works in the Nuevo Alberdi Norte and Nuevo Alberdi Este neighborhoods and a Cristalería area in the city of Rosario was opened. The initiative will directly benefit approximately 8,000 residents of the Northern District, with an official investment of more than $5.4 billion. The work covers a total area of ??90 hectares and involves the execution of 1,919 household connections, as well as indirectly impacting some 16,000 residents in the area. It is estimated to begin in May, with an execution period of 730 calendar days. The project has been developed by Aguas Santafesinas SA (ASSA), comprising interventions in 57.70 hectares of Nuevo Alberdi Norte and 32.25 hectares in Cristalería. Bidders and economic proposals A total of 13 companies submitted their bids to carry out the work. During the ceremony, the Undersecretary of Public Works, Juan Manuel Ferrer, highlighted the importance of the project, noting that it will allow not only the expansion of the sanitary infrastructure, but also the development of other urban interventions, such as the elimination of ditches and definitive paving. Expansion of sanitation in the city In parallel, sewage works are being carried out in Fisherton Noroeste, benefiting more than 15,000 residents and covering neighbourhoods such as Stella Maris, La Bombacha and Santa Rosa. This project involves the installation of 30,000 linear metres of sewage pipes and the construction of a Sewage Liquids Lifting Station on Av. Schweitzer and Av. García del Cossio, a key infrastructure to guarantee the operation of the system. The municipality plans to incorporate new neighborhoods into the Sewage Plan during 2025, with the goal of reaching 100% coverage in the city. This sanitation plan seeks to improve the quality of life of residents by expanding sewage networks, eliminating health risks and allowing future improvements in urban infrastructure. |
