Work Detail | Zenterio, a leading TV technology and services provider, has signed the HUAWEI Software Service Partner Program Agreement to further strengthen its collaborations with Huawei, the world’s largest system integrator and the market leader in the hybrid video business. The Partner Program Agreement means that Zenterio and Huawei continue their collaboration and expand their current client SW business, so far focused on middleware, to now also include an OTT multiscreen client and EPGs in STBs. Zenterio and Huawei have worked together since 2013, Zenterio OS is integrated with Huawei Hybrid Video (IPTV/OTT/DVB) back-end and the joint solution is now in commercial use in Europe and Latin America. This HUAWEI Software Service Partner Program Agreement will build on that success and further strengthen the collaboration between the two companies. The new solution means that Zenterio’s JetUI will be pre-integrated with Huawei back-end and will support live TV, VoD, nPVR, OTT multiscreen client, EPGs in STBs as well as social sharing and recommendations on any device. The agreement means that the complete end-to-end system will be continuously updated to add more functionality and to make sure that it is at the forefront of what is commercially available. Huawei will put their focus and efforts into providing an open back-end system and let partners like Zenterio concentrate on the client software and UI side of the business, to make sure that the operators can enjoy the combined benefits of both. Jorgen Nilsson, CEO at Zenterio says: “We are very excited to expand our strong partnership with Huawei. There are a vast number of business opportunities that we can go after together, leveraging successful projects in Europe and Latin America, where we are collaborating already. As the TV business evolves and TV Everywhere, multiscreen and multiroom become the new standard, the demand for a strong and seamlessly integrated back-end delivery system combined with a beautiful interface that harmonizes the customer experience across all devices will only continue to grow. We look forward to a continued collaboration and to more successful projects to come.” Zenterio OS lets you harmonize the operational environment, and with the added benefit of JetUI, Huawei and Zenterio can now offer a solution that extends that harmonization to the user interface and the look and feel of all consumer-facing devices. The combined solution has a potential reach of 37 million users.
