Work Detail It comes from the Centenario plant, located at an altitude of 4,000 metres in the Salar Centenario Ratones, in the department of Los Andes. It is 40 tonnes. The company Eramine, part of the French group Eramet, has announced the first export of lithium carbonate produced in the province of Salta, Argentina. The shipment of 40 tons was transported from the Centenario-Ratones salt flat to the port of Rosario, in the province of Santa Fe, a distance of 1,580 km. The Salar Centenario Ratones project is located at an altitude of 4,000 metres in the Andes department. The production, obtained from brine extracted from the salt flat, is intended for export to supply minerals globally. In a statement, it is detailed that the trucks used in transport have a real-time monitoring system to track the shipment. The Eramine plant uses the direct extraction method (DLE), which allows a yield of 90% and a production time of one week. The DLE process is also reported to be different from conventional projects that use brine evaporation pools and have an extraction efficiency of 50%. According to Eramine CEO Alejandro Moro, this milestone marks the beginning of a new stage for the company and the province. Last December, the first production of lithium carbonate in Argentina was announced , from the same plant, designed to extract and produce 24,000 t/year of battery-grade lithium carbonate.
