Commissioning of the 40MW Loudwater BESS and the 28MW Basildon BESS will follow soon. Eku Energy has energised two battery energy storage systems (BESS) in the UK totally 68MW. The assets are the 40MW/55MWh Loudwater BESS in Buckinghamshire and the 28MW/56MWh Basildon BESS in Essex, both in south-east England. Commissioning of these projects will follow shortly. Together with the Maldon BESS (40MW/40MWh) that was commissioned in September 2024, Eku Energy has a total of seven assets in either construction or operations globally with a development pipeline of more than 50 projects around the world, including in the UK, Australia and Japan. Eku Energy is jointly owned by a Macquarie Asset Management managed fund and British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (BCI). |
