The tendering process for the first stage of the High-Profile Inmate Detention Center (Ceriap) in Penitentiary Unit No. 11 in Piñero was opened. The project, with an official budget of $109,828,291,188.24 and a completion period of 18 months, will have the capacity to house 1,152 inmates. The project includes the construction of four mini-pens, each consisting of six two-level pavilions with 48 individual cells per floor, totaling 288 cells per module.
