Avangrid has signed a short-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with American Municipal Power (AMP) for a portion of the energy generated by its Blue Creek wind project in Ohio, USA. Blue Creek is a 304MW wind farm located in Van Wert and Paulding counties in northwest Ohio. It began commercial operations in 2012. AMP is a nonprofit wholesale power supplier and service provider for more than 130 members across nine states. Its members source electricity from a diversified mix, including wholesale power purchases through AMP and generation from AMP and member-owned facilities. Collectively, AMP’s members serve around 650,000 customers. |
