Work Detail Taiwan’s Billion Electric Group, in collaboration with its partners, has successfully commissioned 495 kilowatt-peak (kWp) solar photovoltaic (PV) systems and 1,997 kilowatt-hour (kWh) battery energy storage systems (BESS) across Palau, Tuvalu, and the Marshall Islands. These modular mini-grids aim to reduce reliance on imported fossil fuels, ensuring a stable supply of renewable energy for agriculture, aquaculture, and local communities. The project is expected to cut carbon emissions by 800 metric tons per year while achieving over 50% renewable energy self-sufficiency in aquaculture centers and model farms. Additionally, livestock farms, offices, and residences have transitioned to 100% green energy, significantly lowering operational costs and minimizing environmental impact. Integration of Advanced Smart Energy Solutions Billion Electric Group offers end-to-end energy solutions, encompassing research and development, manufacturing, system integration, and deployment. The project utilizes Taiwan-made renewable energy technologies, including the Fusio series battery energy storage systems (BESS), Giga series solar inverters, and an AI-powered energy management system (EMS). This technology enables real-time power optimization, bidirectional power transmission, and cloud-based monitoring, significantly enhancing grid stability and efficiency. The system prioritizes solar energy and features a black start function, enabling diesel generators to restart automatically in the event of a power grid failure. Global Expansion Plans With established operations in Japan and Australia, Billion Electric Group plans to deploy 50MW of energy storage systems while expanding into Southeast Asia and the Middle East. “We develop flexible and scalable microgrid solutions for diverse applications, enabling energy transformation in remote and isolated areas,” said Tim Chen, Chairman and CEO of Billion Electric Group. “By optimizing local service teams and forming global partnerships, we ensure system reliability, accelerate green energy adoption, and strengthen grid resilience.”
