Iraqs Minister of Finance met with a delegation from the German Agency for International Cooperation (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit, GIZ), the European Union, and the German Embassy in Baghdad, alongside representatives from the Central Bank of Iraq (CBI), the Federal Integrity Commission, the Federal Board of Supreme Audit (FBSA), and the General Authority for Customs and Taxes. Discussions focused on supporting economic reforms and enhancing financial and market efficiency. The Minister emphasised the importance of technical cooperation and training programmes to modernise financial management. GIZ representatives reaffirmed their commitment to providing advisory and technical support to strengthen Iraqs financial systems and improve budgetary and accounting mechanisms. |
