Infrastructure works and extension of the school day During 2024, the Buenos Aires government carried out 2,746 building interventions , and in this new plan resources will be allocated to: Completion of new schools in Barracas . Refurbishment of classrooms, painting work and general maintenance . Conversion of 14 primary schools to full-time (9 progressively and 5 completely). Extension of the extended day in 9 kindergartens , reaching a total of 322 primary schools and 251 kindergartens with full day . Technology and educational equipment The plan also includes a reinforcement of educational and technological equipment , including: 134,000 school kits with specific materials for Language and Mathematics. 58,000 netbooks and tablets for students. 350 interactive displays for secondary schools. Replacement of 12,000 obsolete netbooks and expansion of technological coverage in classrooms. In addition, the allocations of the Single Decentralized Education Fund (FUDE) will increase by 43% , reaching an investment of $3 billion destined for school cooperative associations. Teacher training and budget management. The Buenos Aires government will begin the Mathematics on the Internet and Reading Fluency and Comprehension programs , with the aim of improving teacher training and educational quality.
