Río Negro advances with the repaving of routes 6 and 8 to improve provincial connectivity The government of Río Negro signed the contracts for the repaving of provincial routes 6 and 8 , a key project for the integration between the Southern Region and the Alto Valle . The investment will be financed through a loan from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and aims to improve road safety, tourism and productive connectivity . Scope of work Routes 6 and 8 are essential for the development of the province, facilitating access to health services, the transport of goods and the connection between different localities. During the signing ceremony, held in El Cuy , Governor Alberto Weretilneck stressed that this intervention was an outstanding debt with the Southern Region and that it will allow for more agile and safer circulation. The following works were awarded to the companies: CN SAPAG SA : Will carry out the repaving of the section between the Junction of National Route 22 and the Junction of Provincial Route 68 . Centro Construcciones SA : Will be in charge of the work on the section that goes from the RP 68 Junction to the La Esperanza area . Financing and additional benefits The project will be financed through an agreement between the Federal Trust Fund for Regional Infrastructure (FFFIR) and the Province of Río Negro, guaranteeing the necessary resources for its execution. During the event, the governor also announced that part of the funds from the renegotiation of oil concessions will be used to equip Vialidad Rionegrina and that 20 4x4 trucks will be delivered to the development commissions, ensuring that all of them have their own vehicles to strengthen their management. Impact on the province Improvements to these routes will enable: Optimize road connectivity between the North and South of the province . Promote tourism and livestock activity , enhancing regional development. Ensure safer and more efficient transit , especially for emergencies and access to basic services. Facilitate the connection with National Routes 22 and 23 , key to integration with bioceanic corridors. With this progress, Río Negro strengthens its road infrastructure, benefiting thousands of inhabitants and consolidating the growth of strategic sectors in the province. The company CN SAPAG SA will be in charge of repaving Provincial Route No. 6 in the section between National Route 22 and Provincial Route 68. Meanwhile, the company Centro Construcciones SA is the contractor for the repaving work on the remaining section of RP 6 and the corresponding section of RP 8 up to the La Esperanza area.
