GoldenPeaks Capital (GPC) has made Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) a key focus of its investment strategy, with its first projects already underway in Poland. As one of Europe’s fastest-growing independent green power producers and a major solar PV system owner in Poland and Hungary, GPC is now strengthening its position by adding BESS to its core investments. GPC recently secured its first Capacity Market auction contract in Poland, adding 280 MWh of BESS to its portfolio with a €100 million investment. This marks a significant step in its goal to lead the BESS sector and expand clean, flexible energy solutions across Europe. Following extensive battery testing at its existing sites, GPC has set an ambitious target for 2025—to expand its portfolio to 600 MWh of ready-to-build BESS capacity, starting in Poland and then reaching other European markets.
