International public tender No. 01/2025 for the paving of Provincial Route 43 in Neuquén, specifically the 18-kilometer stretch that connects Las Ovejas with Varvarco. This work seeks to improve road connectivity in the region, promoting the economic and tourist development of northern Neuquén. The work is divided into two sections. Section I corresponds to the urban section from the access to Las Ovejas to the access to the municipal landfill, with a length of 3.10 kilometers. Section II, the subject of this first tender, covers the 15.1 kilometer rural section that extends from the end of Section I to the bridge over the Neuquén River in Varvarco. The poor condition of the current road makes traffic difficult, especially in adverse weather conditions, limiting access to high-potential tourist attractions such as the Domuyo Thermal Center, the Colomichicó Archaeological Center, Los Bolillos, Cajón de Atreuco and La Puntilla. The new paving will facilitate access to these destinations, boosting tourist activity and generating economic opportunities for the region. From a construction point of view, the main work consists of paving 15.1 kilometers of Provincial Route 43. Although the exact technical details are not specified in the news, it is understood that the work will involve earthmoving, preparation of the base and subbase, placement of asphalt, construction of shoulders and road signs. The paving will significantly improve traffic conditions, offering a safe and comfortable road surface. The deadline for submitting bids for Section II will be open until February 21.
