Work Detail CESI Group strengthened its ties with Saudi Arabia by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Saudi Electricity Project Development Company (PDC), part of SEC Group. The signing took place during Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni’s official visit to Saudi Arabia, at a Roundtable held by the Deputy Minister of Enterprises and Made in Italy, Mr. Valentino Valentini. Held at the historic site of AlUla, the event brought together leading Italian and Saudi businesses to explore opportunities for cooperation. The agreement was signed by Pierluigi Vicini, General Manager of CESI FZE, the Group’s Middle Eastern subsidiary established in Dubai in 2012, and Abdulaziz Al-Muhaiza, Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer of SEC. CESI FZE, which has a local entity in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), has been pivotal in the Group’s operations across the region, providing tailored engineering and consultancy solutions to meet the growing needs of the Middle East’s energy sector. These agreements align with CESI’s strategic direction to further develop its business in Saudi Arabia. The Saudi Electricity Project Development Company, founded in 2015 and wholly owned by the Saudi Electricity Company, plays a central role in the development and execution of energy projects across the Kingdom. This MoU reflects a shared commitment to advancing energy infrastructure and fostering innovation in power projects. The collaboration will focus on strategic areas such as enhancing project efficiency, advancing technological solutions, and ensuring environmental sustainability. It also underscores CESI’s dedication to supporting Saudi Arabia’s ambitious energy transition goals as part of Vision 2030. With decades of experience in the region, CESI has built a reputation as a trusted partner in energy innovation and infrastructure development. The establishment of CESI FZE in 2012 solidified its presence in the Middle East, allowing the Group to closely support key players in their pursuit of modernizing energy systems and improving resilience. This partnership is a testament to the enduring business relations between Italy and Saudi Arabia and highlights the potential for further collaboration in the energy sector as the Kingdom positions itself as a global energy hub.
