Projects in northern Spain have a total capacity of 105MW and are due online in 2026 The two projects have a capacity of 52.4MW each and are located near Tordesillas in northern Spain, in the region of Castilla y Leon. Despite the sale, Q Energy will remain involved in the project and take care of the EPC part as well as operation and maintenance (O&M) in the first two years after commissioning. The construction work has recently started. The two solar plants will comprise more than 170,000 modules and will be built close to each other on a total area of almost 220 hectares. They are expected to enter operation in mid-2026. The transaction size is approximately €80m and was supported on the seller side by Uria Menendez as legal advisors and KPMG Corporate Finance and Transaction Services as financial advisors. The management team of Q Energy said: “This deal once again underlines Q ENERGYs expertise in developing and realising high-value renewable energy projects. “We are proud to support the Spanish energy market with a development pipeline of around 5 GW of green power plants. “Thus, the Tordesillas project is a further great milestone, with more to follow in the coming months.” |
