AMEA Power, UAE announces that it has signed Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) and Land Agreement in Egypt for an additional 500MW Wind Project in December 2024, on the sidelines of the inauguration of our 500MW Abydos Solar PV Plant. The signing ceremony was attended by His Excellency Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister of Egypt; His Excellency Dr. Mahmoud Esmat, Minister of Egyptian Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy; Her Excellency Rania A. Al-Mashat, Minister of Ministry of Planning, Economic Development & International Cooperation; Mr. Hussain Al Nowais, Chairman of AMEA Power. The Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) was signed by Engineer Mona Rezk Ibrahim Mohamed, Chairperson of Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) and the Land Agreement was signed by Dr Mohammed Mostafa El – Khayat, Chairman of New and Renewable Energy Authority (NREA-EG), and Mr. Aqueel Bohra, CFA, Chief Investment Officer of AMEA Power. AMEA Power’s total capacity of portfolio for solar and wind projects in Egypt is now 2,500MW, with 2,400MWh of battery energy storage, statement mentioned. |
