In line with the company’s broader “Nation Building” vision, which focuses on accelerating the adoption of renewable energy, the business will prioritize Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Haryana, and Madhya Pradesh for its power infrastructure and green energy initiatives. With a strong emphasis on these states, Godrej Enterprises Group aims to play a significant role in building power infrastructure for renewable energy, reducing dependence on fossil fuels, and helping India achieve its goal of 500GW of non-fossil fuel-based power by 2030. The Energy Solutions business is targeting a growth rate of over 20% annually over the next 3-5 years, driven by its expanding portfolio of Extra High Voltage Power Transmission Projects up to 765kV and strategic investments in solar power and other green energy infrastructure. Raghavendra Mirji, Executive Vice President & Business Head, Energy Solutions business of Godrej Enterprises Group stated, “As the world accelerates its transition to clean energy, India’s ambitious climate goals are setting the stage for an unprecedented shift. At Godrej Enterprises Group, we are proud to contribute to this movement through our strategic investments in Power Infrastructure projects across key states. Through our innovative solutions & capabilities, we aim to reduce carbon emissions, foster energy independence, and play a leading role in shaping India’s energy landscape for the future.” Maharashtra has made significant progress in renewable energy. Godrej Enterprises Group (GEG) recently launched a 25 MW solar project in Dhule, in collaboration with the Maharashtra State Power Generation Company Limited (MahaGenco). The company is also working on one of the largest greenfield 765/400kV GIS substation projects in the state. Gujarat has set a target to achieve 50% renewable energy capacity by 2030. In line with this, GEG is working on 765kV GIS and 400kV GIS substation projects in Khavda. Similarly, Madhya Pradesh aims for 50% renewable energy generation by 2030, with a strong focus on solar. GEG has already commissioned a 12.5MWp rooftop solar project at a textile facility in the state, covering over 1 million square feet, making it one of the largest solar installations in India, and the largest in Madhya Pradesh. In Rajasthan, Godrej completed over 5.2 MW of rooftop solar projects for an automobile company in Jaipur, and several other rooftop installations exceeding 2 MW for malls and real estate companies in Gurgaon, Haryana. The company is also working on large-scale 765kV AIS substation projects to support the evacuation of power from large solar parks, reinforcing its commitment to renewable energy infrastructure in Haryana and Rajasthan. GEG’s scope of work includes designing and constructing solar power plants, as well as building substations up to 765kV to efficiently evacuate renewable energy. The company is planning major power infrastructure projects in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Haryana, which are leading India’s renewable energy efforts. GEG’s Energy Solutions business will play a key role in both solar plant installations and the development of high-voltage substations for large-scale renewable projects.
