Ms. Nidhi Khare, Secretary of the Union Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE), visited the Registered Office of Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA) in New Delhi. Her visit included a detailed review of IREDA’s performance and strategic roadmap, followed by an interactive session with senior officials. Shri Pradip Kumar Das, Chairman and Managing Director of IREDA, welcomed Ms. Khare and highlighted the organization’s achievements over the past five years. He emphasized IREDA’s commitment to supporting the Government of India’s renewable energy targets, including the goal of achieving 500 GW of non-fossil-based electricity by 2030, in line with the vision of ‘Viksit Bharat’. During the review, IREDA presented its sectoral financing, diversification strategies, growth plans, and fundraising initiatives. Shri Das provided insights into the organization’s accomplishments, including advancements in Ease of Doing Business, digitalization, automation, and the establishment of a wholly owned subsidiary at the International Financial Services Centre (IFSC) in GIFT City, Gujarat. He also highlighted IREDA’s efforts to improve asset quality through consistent borrower engagement. IREDA was recognized for publishing its Q3 Audited Financial Results within nine days, setting a new standard in corporate governance. Ms. Khare praised IREDA’s progress and acknowledged its pivotal role in advancing India’s renewable energy goals. She assured the organization of swift support to further accelerate renewable energy growth and contribute to the decarbonization of the economy. |
