Work Detail | Ronnie Screwvala-backed UpGrad, an online education platform for working professionals, has tied-up with Unmetric and HubSpot Academy to develop learnings-based content for the digital marketing programme. Unmetric is a social media analytics and intelligence platform developer while HubSpot Academy is the training division of HubSpot, an inbound marketing and sales platform. “Targeted at both young professionals starting their marketing careers as well as seasoned marketers looking to upgrade their skills to keep up with the digital revolution, the digital marketing programme focuses on preparing future-ready digital marketers for industry challenges and scenarios,” the company said in a statement today. According to a recent report by media agency Group M, the digital ad spends in 2016 are expected to grow at 40 per cent against an overall ad spend growth of 15.9 per cent. “Digital is not only changing business functions, it is transforming whole industries, sectors and the way we work. Similarly, marketing is not limited to hoardings, TV ads or even just social media anymore,” UpGrad CEO and Co-Founder Mayank Kumar said. The website has also recently tied up with PVR, Lenskart and ShopClues to offer free scholarships for its entrepreneurship programme. UpGrad, co-founded by Ronnie Screwvala, Mayank Kumar, Ravijot Chugh and Prabhav Phalgun in 2015. The website caters to working professionals looking to build and expand their skill sets while continuing with their professional commitments. |
