The start of the tender process for the construction of the new building of the Comprehensive School for Adolescents and Young People with Disabilities No. 3 in San Martín de los Andes, Neuquén province, has been announced. This new building seeks to solve the space needs and improve the facilities for the students and staff of the institution. From a construction point of view, the project includes a building of 1,526.50 m², designed to adapt to the triangular shape of the land where it will be located. The building will be divided into two main wings: Wing 1: Administration, Services and Workshops: This wing will house administrative facilities, such as offices and management areas, as well as spaces for workshops, likely focused on vocational training and skills development activities for students. Wing 2: Body expression classrooms, SUM, greenhouse and vegetable garden: This wing will be used for educational and recreational activities. It will have specific classrooms for body expression, a Multipurpose Room (SUM) for community activities and events, a greenhouse for practical activities related to nature and a vegetable garden, which will probably be used for educational and therapeutic purposes. In addition to the spatial distribution, the focus on sustainability stands out, with the inclusion of solar panels for the generation of electrical energy. This not only reduces the environmental impact of the building, but could also generate savings in energy costs in the long term. The building will also have specific areas for pedagogical, administrative, service management and outdoor spaces, which will allow for better functioning of the institution and offer recreational and leisure spaces for students. This new building will solve several problems that the school is likely to face at present, such as the lack of adequate space for different activities, the need for specific spaces for workshops and body expression activities, and the lack of adequate outdoor spaces. The new construction will provide a more conducive environment for the learning and development of students with disabilities. The official budget for the work is $3,214,745,904, based on values ??from October 2024, with a term of execution of 365 calendar days under the global price adjustment system. The reception of offers is scheduled for Monday, February 3 at 11 a.m. at the Secretariat of Public Works, in Neuquén Capital, and the opening of envelopes will be on February 4 at 1 p.m. in the Municipality of San Martín de los Andes. The project was prepared by the Provincial Directorate of Architecture and is part of the public works plan of the province, requested by the Education Council and the infrastructure area of ??the Ministry of Education.
