Tembo Defence Products Private Ltd, a subsidiary of Tembo Global Industries Ltd, has signed a ?1,000-crore investment agreement with the Maharashtra government to enhance the states defence manufacturing capabilities. The deal, announced on Wednesday, is expected to create 300 new jobs in the region, strengthening the local economy and industry. The agreement was formalized in the presence of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Tembo Global Industries Director Shabbir Merchant. In a notable development, Tembo Defence Products has also been invited to showcase its cutting-edge defence technologies at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. Sanjay J. Patel, Managing Director of Tembo Global Industries, highlighted the significance of the agreement in boosting the states defence sector and regional employment. Founded in 2010, the parent company initially specialized in metal components for pipe support systems but expanded into defence manufacturing in 2024, marking a new phase of growth. Tembo Global Industries, which holds a 2-star Export House status, has been diversifying its business portfolio in recent years, including ventures into EPC contracting in 2023 and solar power manufacturing in 2024. The company’s products, which are certified by Underwriter’s Laboratory Inc. (US) and FM Approval (US), are recognized for their quality and compliance with global standards, especially in fire sprinkler system installations. |
