The storm drain works for the southwest sector of Vedia, in the district of Leandro N. Alem, province of Buenos Aires, have been put out to tender. This work seeks to solve the flooding problems that affect around 5,000 residents of the town. From a construction point of view, the main work consists of the construction of a 1,649-metre-long collector. This main collector will be complemented by three secondary branches: Vargas Branch 1: It will extend along Pablo Vargas Street from Ancalo to Coronel Charras, with a length of 104 meters. Vargas Branch 2: Also along Pablo Vargas Street, it will run 116 meters from Fuerte Lavalle to Coronel Charras. Pincen Branch: It will run 116 meters along Pincen Street from the corner with Fuerte Lavalle Street to Coronel Charras. The construction of this storm drain system will solve the problem of flooding in the southwestern area of ??Vedia, especially during and after rains. By capturing and directing rainwater through the main collector and its branches, the accumulation of water in the streets and near homes will be avoided, improving the quality of life of residents and reducing water risk. The project was put out to tender by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Public Services of the Province of Buenos Aires, through the Undersecretariat of Water Resources.
