The tender for the expansion of the parking lot of the Mario Alberto Kempes Stadium in Córdoba has been opened. The project, in charge of Caminos de las Sierras, seeks to add space for 3,000 vehicles and will require an investment of 15,184 million pesos by the Government of Córdoba. Two companies submitted their proposals: Cavicor SA and Astori Construcciones SA From a construction point of view, the project focuses on paving, expanding and refurbishing existing spaces and creating new parking areas near the stadium. Three main areas will be worked on: Under the Circunvalación Avenue viaduct: The existing paved surface will be expanded, adding new areas to reach a total of eleven hectares for parking. Central roundabout of the distributor in front of the stadium: A new parking lot will be built in this area. South sector of the stadium: The existing parking lot in this sector will be refurbished and expanded. In total, approximately six new hectares will be paved. In addition to paving, the project includes: Perimeter fences: Fences will be placed to delimit and secure parking areas. Accesses and multi-use areas: New accesses will be built and multi-use areas will be created, which could be used for various activities complementary to the stadium. Horizontal demarcation and vertical signage: Parking spaces will be demarcated and the necessary signage will be installed for proper circulation within the beaches. Lighting: A lighting system will be installed to ensure safety and visibility in the parking areas at night. Landscaping and green spaces: Green areas and landscaping will be incorporated to improve the stadium environment. Storm drains: A system will be implemented to capture, channel and discharge rainwater from the Circunvalación viaduct roadways, preventing flooding in the parking lots. Roundabout and access on the Kempes collector road on Avenida de Circunvalación: A new roundabout and access will be built to optimize access to the different sports areas near the stadium. This project seeks to solve the parking problems that usually occur at events held at the Mario Alberto Kempes Stadium, offering greater capacity and improving traffic organization in the area. The total investment is 15,184 million pesos and an estimated execution period of eight months.
