ESA Solar Energy LLC is seeking buyers for a portfolio of 36 early-stage battery energy storage system (BESS) projects with a combined potential capacity of approximately 6 GW.
The projects are located across Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Iowa.
Ascend Analytics, a market intelligence and analytics provider, has been engaged in managing the sales process.
The company confirmed in a press statement today that the transaction will be conducted through Ascend’s AEX Asset Sales platform, supported by its advisory services.
According to Ascend, the portfolio’s projects “have been diligently selected for their commercial feasibility and attractiveness to potential off-takers. ”
They are prepared for interconnection application within the 2025 Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO) cluster. ESA will also provide development services support to future buyers.
