Work Detail Tion Renewables Group, a renewable energy producer with operations in five European countries and headquartered in Munich, Germany, has announced the acquisition of its 15th solar park in Germany. The newly acquired solar plant, located in Klosterheide, eastern Germany, was completed and became operational in 2024. With an installed capacity of 26 megawatts (MW), the plant is expected to generate approximately 26 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of green electricity annually. The facility was sold by Sunovis, a project developer and EPC (engineering, procurement, and construction) provider of turnkey solar parks based in Baden-Württemberg. Tion Renewables will benefit from a combined offtake solution for the new solar park. In addition to receiving a feed-in tariff for 20 years, the company has entered into a 10-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) starting in 2024. Under the PPA, the electricity price secured through the contract will exceed the feed-in tariff until 2034. Commenting on the acquisition, Christoph Strasser, Co-Founder and Chief Investment Officer of Tion Renewables, said, “Our latest acquisition exemplifies that we do not grow at all costs. Instead, we choose the smartest offtake solutions possible.” This acquisition further solidifies Tion Renewables’ position in the renewable energy market and supports its commitment to sustainable energy production.
