Huasun has unveiled its 720W Kunlun G12 bifacial double-glass solar panels for vertical PV projects at the World Future Economic Summit in Abu Dhabi. The panels feature a power conversion efficiency of 23.2% and higher mechanical stress resistance with an alloy steel frame.
Chinese heterojunction (HJT) solar module manufacturer Huasun has unveiled a new series of bifacial double-glass panels for vertical PV projects at the World Future Economic Summit (WFES) in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
“The modules are made of a special alloy steel frame, which ensures increased resistance to mechanical stress,” a company spokesperson told pv magazine . “Vertical deployment also prevents snow cover and dust stratification, which reduces maintenance costs.”
The company says vertical deployment allows the modules to achieve a bifaciality factor close to 100%.
“Thanks to their naturally symmetrical bifacial structure, the panels offer higher energy yields from the rear side compared to conventional ground-mounted PV modules,” he says.
The modules, with 132 half-cut HJT monocrystalline cells, measure 2,384 mm x 1,303 mm x 33 mm and weigh 39.9 kg. Available in five variants with power ratings from 700 W to 720 W, they have efficiencies ranging from 22.5% to 23.2%. The open-circuit voltage ranges from 49.77 V to 50.17 V, and the short-circuit current ranges from 17.81 A to 18.17 A.
The panels support a maximum system voltage of 1,500 V, have an IP68 protection rating and a temperature coefficient of -0.24% per degree Celsius, with operating temperatures between -40 ºC and 85 ºC. Both sides of the bifacial modules are covered by 2.0 mm glass.
The products have a 30-year linear power guarantee and a 15-year product guarantee. The company guarantees a degradation of 1.0% in the first year and not less than 90.3% of the nominal power after 30 years.
The new modules also incorporate the company’s zero bus bar (0BB) technology, which improves adhesion, hot spot resistance and eliminates the carrier film.
