Work Detail |
The city of San Francisco approved the call for bids for the transformation of the Civic Plaza, a project that involves the opening of a street in the center of the plaza and general improvements. This decision was made in an extraordinary session of the City Council. The project, financed with provincial funds, has a budget of more than 680 million pesos. The project seeks to transform the heart of the city by opening a street that crosses the square and carrying out improvement works in the public space. The tender is expected to open in the first months of the year and the work to be completed in the second half of the year. Although the initiative generated debate, with the Juntos por el Cambio bloc voting against it and requesting a public consultation with professionals and entities such as the College of Architects and the Business and Services Center, councilor Cecilia Roffé, from a single-person bloc, supported the initiative of the ruling party. In addition to the transformation of the Civic Plaza, the concession of two spaces within the Tecnoteca to the company DIGIDINE SAS to provide a catering service was approved. This concession, for a period of 5 years with the possibility of an extension for 3 more years, was made through direct contracting because a previous tender had been unsuccessful. The company must pay a monthly fee of $1,200,000, which will be updated semi-annually according to the Consumer Price Index (inflation). In summary, the city of San Francisco is moving forward with two important projects: the transformation of the Civic Plaza, which involves the opening of a street and improvements to the public space, and the concession of gastronomic spaces in the Tecnoteca to the company DIGIDINE SAS. The first project seeks to revitalize the city center, while the second seeks to offer new services to the users of the Tecnoteca. |
