Work Detail |
The province of Santa Fe has postponed the opening of the envelopes for the tender for the recovery of the docks of Parque España until January 27. This work, part of the Rosario Agreement, seeks to repair and expand the parks esplanade, affected by landslides since 2021. The estimated investment amounts to 21,814,883,357.08 pesos (at August value). The project involves the rehabilitation of the riverside promenade in the northern part of the park, extending it by 120 linear metres and respecting the line of the existing walkway. A reinforced concrete structure will be built with piles cast in situ with prefabricated reinforcements, beams and precast slabs. The flooring will be made of granite or interlocking paving stones with hot-dip galvanised steel railings. In addition, a helical ramp will be built to connect the main access to the Príncipe de Asturias theatre, currently closed, with the upper part of the building. The total surface area of ??the dock will reach 4,200 square metres. This project aims to solve the constant landslides in the ravines of the area, caused by the age of the supports (from the end of the 19th century) and the erosion produced by the historic low water level of the Paraná. These landslides made the main entrance to the Teatro Príncipe de Asturias unusable. The intervention will allow for the expansion of public access to the central coast of Rosario, solving an infrastructure problem that has affected the park for more than three years. The tender was launched in early December and the opening of envelopes, initially scheduled for January 7, was postponed to January 27 at the request of the interested companies, who requested more time to study the project. Among the companies that attended the presentation of the project were important public works contractors in the region: Edeca SA, Dyscon SRL, De Paoli & Trosce SRL, Techint SA, and Pilotes Trevi SA. According to the tender documents, the project has a completion period of 540 calendar days (one year and five months). If the contract is awarded in March, the park is expected to be rehabilitated by the end of 2027. The project represents a significant improvement for the park and the city, recovering a significant public space and solving security and access problems.
