French green energy producer Enoé has successfully secured €42 million in financing to acquire and construct 33.4 MWp of photovoltaic (PV) capacity in France. The financing, arranged by Caisse d’Epargne CEPAC, one of Enoé’s long-standing partners, will enable the company to acquire and build two ground-mounted solar power plants, winners of the CRE’s PPE2-PV Sol tender, with a combined capacity of 20.5 MWp. The first of the two projects, the “La Chapitre” power plant, is located in Occitanie, in the commune of Carcassonne (11). This 15.96 MWc project is situated on a gravel quarry that is no longer in use, with an estimated annual production of 22.7 GWh. The second project, “Gué Ory,” located in the commune of Sougé-le-Ganelon (72) in the Pays de la Loire, is a 4.88 MWc plant situated on land to be urbanized, with an estimated annual production of 5.5 GWh. In addition to these projects, the financing will support the construction of a greenfield portfolio of 65 rooftop solar power plants on agricultural buildings, with a total capacity of 12.9 MWp. The projects, ranging from 95 kWp to 350 kWp, are spread across various regions in France, including Occitanie, PACA, Auvergne Rhône-Alpes, and Nouvelle Aquitaine. These plants are expected to generate 22 GWh annually, with construction set to begin in 2024 and commissioning scheduled between July 2025 and October 2026. Founded in 2019 by three partners and joined by British investor iCON Infrastructure in 2023, Enoé currently operates more than 650 sites across France, encompassing ground-mounted, rooftop, and shaded solar power plants. The company boasts an operational portfolio of 120 MWp, with an additional 70 MWp under construction and a development pipeline of 2 GW. Enoé aims to reach 1 GW of installed capacity by 2030. |
