Industrialist Gautam Adani has announced an investment of ?65,000 crore in energy and cement projects in Chhattisgarh following a meeting with Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai at the CMs residence in Raipur, according to a statement from the states public relations department. As part of the investment, the Adani Group plans to allocate ?60,000 crore to expand its power plants in Raipur, Korba, and Raigarh, increasing the state’s total power generation capacity by 6,120 MW. Additionally, ?5,000 crore will be invested in the development and expansion of the group’s cement plants in the region. During the meeting, Adani also assured a ?10,000 crore contribution over the next four years toward initiatives in education, healthcare, skill development, and tourism under the group’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs and additional efforts. The discussions further included potential collaborations in manufacturing defence-related equipment, as well as establishing data centres and a Global Capability Centre in the state. These initiatives are expected to drive economic growth and create employment opportunities in Chhattisgarh. |
