EDF Renewables North America announced that the Huck Finn Solar project is now fully operational as of December 2024. Located in Missouri, this 200-megawatt (MWac) / 270 MWdc solar facility was developed by EDF Renewables for Ameren Missouri, a subsidiary of Ameren Corporation. The Huck Finn Renewable Energy Center is now supplying clean electricity. During its construction, the project created over 500 jobs and is expected to bring in more than $14 million in revenue to the local communities of Audrain and Ralls Counties. Once running at full capacity, Huck Finn Solar will generate enough electricity to power over 37,000 homes. This helps strengthen the local power grid and reduces dependence on non-renewable energy sources. Jesse Laniak, Regional Project Development Manager at EDF Renewables, stated, “We are thrilled to announce the successful launch of the Huck Finn Solar project, which is now fully operational and contributing to Ameren Missouri’s solar generation portfolio.
