Microinverter manufacturer Enphase has announced its expansion into Latin America with the launch of the IQ8P™ microinverters, with a peak AC output power of 480 W, for residential and commercial applications in Colombia, Panama and Costa Rica, suitable to support newer high-power solar modules. The Fremont-based company says it is working with installers and distributors throughout Latin America, including the recent launch of IQ8™ microinverters in the Caribbean, as well as ongoing operations in Brazil, Puerto Rico and Mexico. In a statement, it is explained that the IQ8 microinverters are designed to maximize energy production and can manage a continuous DC current of 14 amps, which allows supporting higher power solar modules thanks to greater energy capture. The IQ8P microinverters are the most powerful microinverters available from Enphase to date, with a maximum output power of 480W and “designed to seamlessly pair with a wide range of solar modules up to 670W DC,” the information adds.
