The Government of the province of Chubut is implementing the installation of solar home systems for rural residents in the Epulef Village area. Student hostels have also benefited. The Government of the Argentine province of Chubut has installed seven home photovoltaic systems for rural residents in the Aldea Epulef area, through the Eolo Chubut department, within the framework of a project that seeks to reach a total of 30 units, which also includes others in the rural commune of Colan Conhué. This is a project presented and approved by the Executive Committee of the Federal Council of Electric Energy. The statement explains that the beneficiary population is that which lives in the areas close to the communes, and that, either for technical and/or economic reasons, are not connected to the Argentine Interconnection System (SADI), nor to the generation supplied by the General Directorate of Public Services. Each unit supplied consists of a 310 W polycrystalline solar panel, a 20A MPPT/max display solar regulator and a 12 volt-110 Ah lead-acid battery. In addition, LED technology lights are added to the electrical installation: it is assured that in this way homes will be able to have seven LED lights and an LED TV and its decoder, in case the user has the appropriate inverter, it adds. Systems in student hostels In this same context, the provincial government reports on the inspection of the photovoltaic systems installed in student hostels located in Chacay Oeste, Blancuntre, Cushamen, Fofo Cahuel and Costa Del Lepá; and in the educational camp plants of Piedra Parada and Lago Puelo. |
