Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for multiple railway projects across India, according to a release from the Prime Ministers Office. The virtual event will begin at 12:30 pm via video conferencing. In a significant move to enhance connectivity, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the newly established Jammu Railway Division. The division will span 742.1 kilometres, covering critical sections such as Pathankot-Jammu-Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla, and other key routes. This development is expected to improve transportation in Jammu and Kashmir, benefiting surrounding regions with enhanced connectivity, employment opportunities, infrastructure development, and a boost to tourism and socio-economic growth. The Prime Minister will also inaugurate the Charlapalli New Terminal Station in Telangana. Located in the Medchal-Malkajgiri district, this state-of-the-art terminal, developed at a cost of ?413 crore, will ease congestion at existing terminals like Secunderabad, Hyderabad, and Kacheguda. With better passenger amenities and environmental considerations, the terminal is expected to enhance the overall travel experience. Additionally, PM Modi will lay the foundation stone for the Rayagada Railway Division Building of East Coast Railway. This new infrastructure will improve connectivity across Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, and nearby regions, fostering economic development and enhanced transportation in these areas. |
