The Municipality of Neuquén announced that, during the year 2024, a total of 5,457 works were carried out, consolidating the metropolis as the municipality with the highest construction activity in the country. This is a fact that comes hand in hand with the Vaca Muerta boom. Among these works, the delivery of 1,650 lots with services stands out, allowing numerous neighbors to fulfill the dream of owning their own home.
In terms of investment, the municipality allocated 61,254,827 million pesos last year. Among the most notable projects are the construction of 1,750 square meters of building 1 of the Technological Pole and 3,500 square meters of module 2, as well as 1,350 square meters of the Physical Activities Room (SAF) in the Confluencia neighborhood and 945 square meters in the SAF of Hi.Be.Pa.
In addition, progress was made on the construction of two new brewing rooms in the Melipal and Toma Norte neighborhoods, and a major renovation was carried out on the National Museum of Fine Arts in Neuquén. A large-scale cultural project that has also begun to take shape is the Mercado de las Artes, a new building that will enrich Neuquén culture.

The Municipality of Neuquén also began construction of a new asphalt plant and executed 1,045 blocks of pavement throughout the city, such as Avenida Racedo, the section between Doctor Ramón and República de Italia, and important streets in the Valentina Sur neighborhood and in Hi.Be.Pa. In addition, 10 bridges were built, improving urban connectivity, and 9,123 linear meters of sidewalks were installed.
Construction in Neuquén: works in the neighborhoods
This year, five plazas were also inaugurated, such as San Lorenzo Sur and Villa Ceferino, where children can engage in physical and recreational activities; and two new linear parks: Balcón del Valle and Parque Lineal del Oeste, and 10 green spaces were remodeled, such as the 5,000 square meter site located in Terrazas del Neuquén.
The modernization of public lighting was another key focus, with the replacement of 36,000 lights, bringing the city close to 100% LED lighting. In addition, 37 new traffic lights were installed and 200 cameras were installed as part of the Comprehensive Video Security Plan.

The municipality also made progress in expanding basic services, with the execution of 9,842 new water, electricity, sewage and natural gas connections, with the implementation of the Dale Gas Plan. In addition, 40 projects were carried out in different sports clubs in the city.
In terms of materials, the Municipality used 30,000 tons of asphalt concrete and 17,000 cubic meters of reinforced concrete.

302,347 square meters of private construction were registered and, to date, there are 127 buildings under construction in different parts of the city. Throughout 2024, 17 tower cranes were enabled, which reflects the movement of the construction sector in the capital of Neuquén. |
