On Friday, the start of work for the expansion of the sewage system for four neighborhoods in Venado Tuerto was signed. The activity was led by the Minister of Public Works of the province, Lisandro Enrico, and the mayor Leonel Chiarella, in an event that took place on the premises of the treatment lagoons of the Cooperativa de Obras Sanitarias (COS), located in Matheu and Circunvalación.
A total of 8 companies participated in the tender, and finally the work, which has a duration of 18 months, was awarded to the firm Edeca SA, which quoted 9.062 million pesos.
Leonel Chiarella said that "we are going to begin one of the most important works that our city will have: the sewage system for the entire northern area of ??Venado Tuerto."
In this context, he added that "with this work we will reach 90 percent of the sewage network in the entire city, something that will undoubtedly change the lives of thousands of Venado residents."
Vilma Olivieri said that "thanks to a political decision by the provincial government, we are now signing the start-up document, which means that from now on, the machines will sink their nails in and start working."
He also explained that "here, in the treatment lagoons, we are going to clean the first module because it is saturated, we have to clean it, remove the sludge and let it dry so that it can then return to its previous capacity."
The project includes the expansion of sewage networks in the San Vicente and Malvinas Argentinas neighborhoods and the execution of basic infrastructure works (pumping stations and pumping pipes) in Santa Rosa and Villa Casey.

Work will also be carried out at existing pumping stations, such as the “Ángel Lozano” station, a new station in Plaza Del Docente, and cleaning and expansion of treatment lagoons, among others.

Leticia Di Gregorio praised Mayor Chiarellas "insistence" for the work to be carried out and the political decision of Minister Lisandro Enrico and Governor Maximiliano Pullaro to carry it out.
Meanwhile, Deputy Sofía Galnares recalled the many trips she made to Buenos Aires when she was working as secretary to the then councilor Chiarella, accompanying Olivieri to obtain the work.
"It seemed so far away to be able to achieve this, we knocked on doors and national governments passed by without giving us an answer. Today, luckily, we have a provincial government present, with ministers and officials who come, announcements that are made and works that are started. For a year now we have been able to demonstrate that things can be done differently in the province," he stressed.

"After Miguel Lifschitzs government, the works stopped. Venado Tuerto was invisible to the provinces radar for four years and today, with the assumption of Maximiliano Pullaro as governor, Venado is back on the radar," said Lisandro Enrico.
He also praised Vilma Olivieris management: "She obviously carries this project in her heart, she is a player on the whole field who travels around the north, center and south of Santa Fe, she is an excellent official."
"As stated in this start-up agreement that the company will sign with us, the Provincial Government, from now on, will begin to count the 18 months that is the execution period, and next week, on Friday, January 3, another important work for Venado Tuerto will begin, such as the Avenida de Circunvalación," concluded the Minister of Public Works.
