| Work Detail | Electricity and Water Authority (EWA), Kingdom of Bahrain announces the receipt of a pre-qualification (PQ) submittals for the development of Sitra Independent Water and Power Project (Sitra IWPP). The Project Scope of work includes power capacity of 1200 MW and 30 MIGD of sea water desalination capacity. Following companies submitted/applied the Pre Qualification Process: Al Jomaih Energy and Water Company Gulf Investment Corporation China Machinery Engineering Corporation Korea Electric Power Corporation ACWA POWER Company Jera Middle East and Africa Management Co Ltd Abu Dhabi National Energy Company Alghanim International Sumitomo Corp. The Project will be awarded on build, own and operate (BOO) basis. |
