Work Detail The Courtyard Bloomington-Normal has been remodeled.

Each of the 78 guest rooms, public spaces and pool of the hotel, 310A Greenbriar Drive, was upgraded to fit a modern decor package required by Marriott.

The $1.4 million project was completed in June by developer TMI Hospitality.

“We wanted a fresh, new look for all of our rooms; something a little more modern,” said hotel general manager Donnell Hoeniges.

The guest rooms, breakfast area and lobby were updated with neutral colors, organic designs and new furniture, carpet, decor and lighting.

"The newly designed guest rooms invoke a restful atmosphere," said Hoeniges.

The bathtubs in all but 18 guest rooms were fitted with walk-in showers. The indoor pool area received new flooring, wall tile, a hot tub and modern furniture.

The hotel was built in 1996 and had not been updated since 2010. Hoeniges said the current project was “probably the most extensive” renovation the hotel has seen.

“We are getting some positive feedback from all of our guests,” said Hoeniges. “They love the new look and modern decor. We’re hoping it will enhance their stay and encourage them to return.”

The hotel lobby features The Bistro, a restaurant serving breakfast options and Starbucks drinks, and other dinner and drink options.
