Valdés delivered 10 homes and signed an agreement for the construction of another 20.
In addition, the Corrientes governor inaugurated urban works at the entrance to the town of San Carlos.
The Governor of Corrientes, Gustavo Valdés, handed over the keys and corresponding folders to ten families on Wednesday and inaugurated urban works at the entrance to the town of San Carlos.
At the beginning of his speech, Valdés stated that “there is no other way to achieve success than by working together” and mentioned that today in San Carlos, the housing demand is around 100 houses. In light of this, the president specified, “we are building 15 of free demand, today we are inaugurating 10 and we committed ourselves by agreement to build another 20.”
He also stressed that the Government of Corrientes is making a significant budgetary effort to "be closer to you and meet your needs."
Regarding the investment allocated to San Carlos in housing, Valdés said that it is around 474 million pesos and for each family home the equivalent is 30 million pesos.
The president then praised the shared effort with the Municipality of San Carlos, which provided the labor and land for the construction of the houses, and praised the work of the INVICO technical teams, who “make the dream of a decent roof a reality for each of these families.”
Valdés handed over 10 houses and signed an agreement for the construction of another 20.
He then stated that the delivery of these houses is also essential so that the beneficiaries “can build their families and homes” and asked parents to make an effort to support their children so that they can finish primary and secondary school, “supported by free public education” and with the goal of tomorrow achieving a “university or tertiary degree.”
“With these houses and works, we want to have a more vibrant, stronger and growing San Carlos,” said Valdés firmly, and to conclude, as a wish for the end of year festivities, he asked that “every family in San Carlos, Corrientes and all of Argentina do well.”
In this context, he called for building the concept of family through these houses and at the same time signed an agreement for the construction of 20 more homes.
It is worth mentioning that this provincial initiative aims to provide immediate housing solutions to families in vulnerable situations, considering social inclusion activities, in order to integrate future neighbors and strengthen the neighborhood community.
In this framework, the Province provides the necessary materials for the construction of the same houses, as well as the technical direction of the work, through INVICO.
The municipalities also provide the land and the labour. The houses themselves are delivered furnished and equipped through the intervention of the Ministry of Social Development.
In addition to the delivery of housing, the ribbon was cut at the entrance to the town around the neighborhood, which included 14 blocks of cobblestones and 2,900 meters of curb and gutter. In addition, among other complementary works, lighting and graveling were installed to improve the transitability of the neighbors. |
