Misiones reviewed with the Nation the status of the works being carried out in the province after the halt in the contribution of funds image-1
Within the framework of the three agreements signed in June by Governor Hugo Passalacqua and the Chief of Staff of the Nation, Guillermo Francos, to reactivate the works that the Nation had paralyzed in Misiones, days ago the Minister of Finance, Adolfo Safrán, held a meeting with the Secretary of Public Works, Luis Givone; and the administrator of the National Entity of Water and Sanitation Works, Bartolomé Heredia, in order to review and evaluate the status of said works.
Although the agreements were signed in June, the funds for these works have arrived intermittently, preventing the normal reactivation of the same as planned. For this reason, they met with national officials in order to evaluate their status and the next steps to follow.
Safrán explained that the delay in the progress of some of these works is linked to the process of redetermination of their costs, a necessary procedure to avoid that due to the inflationary process of last year to date these works do not advance because the companies would charge outdated historical values. In other cases, it was due to the fact that specific agreements on which work was being done in recent months had not yet been signed; and in other cases simply to the delay in the sending of national funds.
In the detailed work carried out during the meeting, which was also attended by the executive coordinator of the Provincial Executive Unit, Adriana Bezus, and the president of IPRODHA, Juan Carlos Pereyra, they were able to analyze the status of each national project that is being executed in Misiones.
